Course Overview
A training program for nurses to assist in conducting safe anaesthesia practices in Mission hospitals that serve areas of need in various parts of India. As a department, we continue to be a witness to many Christian institutions through teaching, and hands-on training that empowers our graduates to conduct safe anaesthetics in various resource-poor settings.
The Anaesthesia Department has been training qualified Staff Nurses (RNRM) sponsored by various Mission Hospitals to assist in conducting safe anaesthesia practices for the last 25 years. The Anaesthetist Assistant Course is a one-year course that may be extended if found necessary.
A maximum of 6 candidates will be chosen per year. As the course is in English, a good knowledge of English is essential. Leave details can be specified by the sponsoring hospital and will be sanctioned by the Anaesthesia Department. If a candidate is found unsuitable, the Anaesthesia Department has the right to terminate the training and send the candidate back.
