The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a comprehensive program designed to train students in both theoretical and practical aspects of clinical laboratory sciences. The course has been in operation since 1982 and is conducted within the hospital premises, providing students with direct exposure to real-time clinical laboratory environments. Training includes classroom-based theory lectures and extensive hands-on practical training in well-equipped laboratory facilities. To support effective learning, English language classes are conducted during the initial months of the course.

Training and Examination
- Theory examinations are conducted at the end of each academic year.
- Practical examination is conducted at the end of the second year.
- Examinations are conducted by examiners appointed by the Laboratory Training Committee of the Board of the Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI).
Clinical Posting & Practical Training
- Students are regularly posted in various laboratory sections to gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience.
Eligibility

Passed Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% marks (A maximum of two attempts only)
Studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) in +2
OR Completed Vocational “Lab Technician Course” (Tamil Nadu State only)

Separate hostels available for men and women. Hostel facilities include an attached Mess.
