About

Pulmonary Medicine

The Department of Pulmonary Medicine was established in October 2013 by Dr. Kancherla Roopa, MD (Respiratory Medicine) from the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, laying a strong foundation for comprehensive respiratory care. The department delivers patient-centered, evidence-based care for the prevention, early diagnosis, and effective management of a broad spectrum of lung and respiratory conditions affecting patients of all ages. From common ailments like asthma and COPD to complex disorders such as interstitial lung diseases, tuberculosis, sleep-disordered breathing, and severe respiratory infections, our multidisciplinary approach combines compassion with clinical excellence.

Our team remains committed to academic excellence through teaching postgraduate trainees, conducting clinical case discussions, and delivering CME programs, ensuring continuous advancement in respiratory medicine.
